Defying The Storm tells the story of the hardships faced by the people of China during the period of 1937-1945. Focusing on three intellectual families and a group of young pilots and scholars, they strive to preserve cultural heritage and advance aviation to save the nation. Forced to make sacrifices and difficult choices while traveling from South to West, the film celebrates patriotism, independent spirit, and the ideals of freedom of these heroes in Chinas historical era. Directed by talented filmmakers Kim Thâm and Kim Lăng Huy, with a stellar cast including Hồ Nhất Thiên, Chương Nhược Nam, Vương Kính Tùng, Trương Hi Lâm, Trương Hách, and Lâm Tử Lộ.
